Brahim Diaz at Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Braga demands more game time
Real Madrid took the lead over Braga early on thanks to a Brahim Diaz goal.
Real Madrid has advanced to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. The 14-time UCL champions advanced to the next round with a 3-0 victory over S.C. Braga. Even though the visitors initially threatened, goals from each of the home team’s front three players ensured a comfortable victory.
Brahim Diaz, an unused substitute in previous games, grabbed headlines after scoring the Los Blancos’ first goal. The athlete spoke to the press after the game in good spirits. Diaz started against Braga despite having only played 16 minutes in Real’s previous seven games.
In the post-game interview, Diaz said “I’m doing my thing. I’m trying to show what I can contribute to this team. I’m very happy with the minutes I’m being given, and showing that I’m in for more. Step by step, everything happens. I wanted to score more and more.”
