Real Madrid thrashed Valencia 5-1 with Rodrygo scoring the goal

Both Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. hit Cristiano Ronaldo's celebrations against Valencia.

On Saturday, Real Madrid faced Valencia in La Liga. Los Blancos dominated to a 5-1 victory over Los Ches at the Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti used Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes on each wing, wreaking havoc on the visitors. On Saturday, both the #7 and #11 scored twice.

Rodrygo‘s goal celebration following his first goal drew the attention of social media users. The teenager received the ball outside the box, dribbled into the area, and fired past Giorgi Mamardashvili. He then struck the classic ‘SIU’, which the Bernabeu has seen several times courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rodrygo has previously stated that Ronaldo is his football idol. He has also replicated the ‘SIU’ on other occasions, including last season’s Champions League match against Chelsea. His brace against Valencia helped Madrid to 32 points, although they are still second in the league to Girona. Girona leads the table with 34 points from 13 games.

At the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid dominated a depleted Valencia side. Vinicius Jr., a Brazilian winger, was in the center of the show. Just before and after the halftime break, the #7 scored two stunning goals. Vinicius and Rodrygo were in excellent form, sharing 6 G/A.

The Brazilian swung over to meet Rodrygo’s soaring cross. The ball struck the player’s chest before bouncing off the post and into the net. His two goals gave Madrid a crucial victory on the night. He followed it up with a spectacular strike from outside the area that beat Valencia’s goalie at his near post. Fans on social media are ecstatic, with many declaring that “classic Vini” has returned.
