El Shaarawy in tears after scoring last minute winner vs Monza

Jose Mourinho’s Roma registered a nerve-cracking win in the dying minutes of the recent league match vs Monza. The win helped Roma register their third consecutive victory in the league so far this season. El Shaarawy was the hero for his side as he scored the winner in the 90th minute to hand his side a wonderful victory against the odds and helped the team bag three important points too. Following the win, the left winger had his say on how he felt about the wonderful turn of events for him and the team on the pitch.

El Shaarawy shows his affection for Roma and football as a whole

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know about El Shaarawy’s views with regard to his team’s fantastic last-gasp win over Monza and also about his own brilliance on the pitch. The player was absolutely sensational throughout the game and made it sure that his team crossed the line when almost all hopes of a win were done and out.

El Shaarawy said,“I’ve been accused of being involved in the betting scandal by the press… it hurts, it was completely fake.I love this sport, I respect football. I’d never do something like that — I feel clean”. The fact that El Shaarawy loves the sport more than anything and is willing to give it his all on the football pitch are pretty much obvious from his words.

El Shaarawy who was born in 1992 began his time with Roma for the first time when he arrived at the club on loan in 2015/16. He thereon has his move made permanent by the club from the following season onwards. He left the club for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua in 2019. After a couple of years, he made a return to Roma yet again in 2021. The player has played a total of 101 matches for Roma on his second spell with the club scoring 19 goals. It remains to be seen as to whether the player can continue his fine performances for the club in the remainder of the season or not.
