Wellington Santos on verge of joining Russia club following Sau Paolo exit
Sau Paolo player Wellington Santos closing in on a move to the Russian league via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Sau Paolo back in 2020 is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Russian club – CSKA Moscow. The player’s move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Wellington to supposedly join CSKA Moscow on a permanent deal
Fabrizio Romano via his revelations let everyone know that Wellington’s is inching closer to a move to CSKA Moscow. The player shall be joining the club possibly on a five year contract with an agreement of €8m in place already. The final details with regard to the transfer are yet to be clarified following which the move shall be finalised.
Wellington who was born in 2001 began his senior career with Brazilian club – Sao Paolo in the year 2020 at the age of 19. He has played 15 matches for the club till date scoring one goal during his tenure. To talk about his international career, the player is yet to make his debut for Brazil at the senior level. He has represented the U-23 side having made his debut for the team just a week ago.

CSKA Moscow have been in fairly good form lately. The team finished second in the league last season with 58 points to their name in 30 matches throughout the season. The team’s next major motto will be to perform brilliantly in the ongoing league season. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including young Wellington Santos to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
