Leicester City player Ashleigh Plumptre has made a move to the Saudi Pro League via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had been a part of the Leicester City over the past 4 years is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Saudi Club – Al Ittihad ladies. The player’s move to her new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Several relevant sources with regard to football transfers have made it clear that Ashleigh Plumptre’s move to Al Ittihad ladies has been completed. The defender is all set to begin her new journey in Saudi Arabia with her new club shortly after having started for her nation at the world cup.

Ashleigh Plumptre who was born in 1998 began her senior career with Notts County in the WSL1 in 2014 at the age of 16. She spent two years at the club and got to play 10 games for her side during the tenure. It was in 2019 that she made a move to Leicester City in the championship. She began getting more gametime for her new club. She made valuable contributions to help the side gain promotion to the Women’s Super League a couple years later. She has played a total of 80 games for the team scoring 4 goals during her 4 year stay.

Leicester City have been in rather poor form lately. The team finished 10th in the league last season with just 16 points in 22 matches throughout the season. The team’s major motto will be to perform better in the ongoing league season. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Nigerian defender Ashleigh Plumptre to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
