In the 80th minute of the second half, Bobby Cordova’s header from Tom Cairney’s cross put the visitors ahead 3-2. Despite the despair of the Kop, the game took an unexpected turn after the 86th minute. Wataru Endo and Alexander-Arnold scored in the 87th and 88th minutes, respectively, to complete an amazing comeback. TAA was deservedly named Man of the Match after his excellent effort.
