Manchester United to train Jadon Sancho away from the first-team
Manchester United released an official statement stating that Jadon Sancho will be training away from the first-team squad after the social media outburst. The club will be keeping him away till the resolution of a pending discipline issue. He was dropped from the side in the Arsenal game which led to a social media outburst.
Sancho to train away from the first team after a dispute with the Manager
The dispute began after Manchester United dropped the winger in the Arsenal match. Ten Hag opened up on this matter post-match stating that the 23-year-old had not been up to the mark in the training sessions which led to his drop from the side.
The statement didn’t go well with the English footballer who took to Twitter to raise his voice against the Manchester United manager’s statement. Sancho made it very visible to his 2.2 million followers that the comments made by Man United manager Ten Hag were untrue. He also claimed that he had been made the scapegoat.
“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into. I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn’t fair. All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team,” Sancho wrote.
Sancho deleted the post later after pinning it for over a week on his Twitter account. Manchester United has now released an official notice on their official website stating that the England international will be training away from the first team after breaking the squad discipline. The statement does not provide specific details about the nature of the issue or the timeline for its resolution.
Sancho started his career with Borussia Dortmund back in 2017. He signed for a reportedly £8 million fee and was immediately included in the first squad. Playing four seasons in Bundesliga for Dortmund and scoring 50 goals in 137 appearances, he was bought by Manchester United in the year 2021.
Sancho signed a five-year contract with the option of a further year. Sancho has appeared in 82 matches for the Premier League side Manchester United in these three seasons and has scored 12 goals. He’s hopeful to be back into the squad soon after the dispute between him and the manager.
