Fabricio Díaz on verge of making a move to Qatari club

Liverpool Montevideo player Fabricio Díaz is on verge of joining the Qatar league via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move are in progress over the past several days. The player who had joined Montevideo around three years ago is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Al Gharafa. The player’s move to his new club in Qatar has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Fabricio Díaz to join Al Gharafa on a permanent deal

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Fabricio Díaz’s move to Al Gharafa FC is almost a done deal. The player shall be joining the club on a five year contract. A deal has been agreed with Dinamo for a €6m package. Diaz shall be traveling for medicals after the final details are sorted.

Fabricio Díaz who was born in 2003 began his senior career with Uruguayan club – Liverpool Montevideo in 2020 at the age of 17. The player had been a more or less regular part of the team ever since having joined for them. The twenty year old has played 121 matches for the club at the senior level till date scoring 5 goals. The youngster is all set to begin a new journey with Al Gharafa hereon.

Al Gharafa have been in rather poor form lately. The team finished 6th in the league last season. With just 32 points in 22 matches, the team failed to cement its place in the upcoming season’s AFC champions league. The team’s major motto will be to deliver quality performances in the ongoing league season and finish higher up in the table.

With a win and a draw in two games so far, the team is fifth in the league table currently. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Uruguayan modifieder Fabricio Díaz to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
