Andre Onana has his say on Manchester United’s narrow win over Coppenahagen

Manchester United have had to go through tough times so far in this season. The team despite all the adversities has stayed strong and have been able to deliver several brilliant performances as a unit to turn things around a bit.

The team that seemed to be down and out after having lost each of the first two UCL games this season is finally of the mark now with a win vs Copenhagen. Andre Onana, United’s showstopper who was the hero for his side in the dying minutes of the game had his say on the overall environment following the wonderful win.

Onana is confident about United’s road in this UCL

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know as to what Onana had to say about the current situation at United following their last gasp win over Coppenahagen in the recent UCL match. The goalkeeper came up with an excellent performance as he saved a penalty in the stoppage time to help United win 1-0 against the odds.

With regard to his nerve-cracking performance on the pitch, Onana said,“I’m just doing my job. We have to keep going like that, never stop”.André Onana’s crucial penalty save for Man United helped the side achieve their first 3 points in the ongoing UCL season.

The African player also let everyone about the amount of confidence he has about Manchester United making it to the next stage as he said,”We are Manchester United, a very big club. We have to keep going, we have to win”.”I have no doubt we’ll make it to the next UCL stage. I am sure”.

Onana who joined Manchester United as David De Gea ‘s replacement recently prior to the beginning of the 2023/24 season has played 13 matches across all competitions for United so far. The goalkeeper has kept 4 clean sheets until now and conceeded a total of 20 goals. It remains to be seen as to whether the shotstopper is able to continue his performances for the Red Devils in the times to come or not.
