Harry Maguire is elated after having rescued United against the odds
English professional footballer – Harry Maguire has been going through tough times at the club level over the past few seasons. The defender who has joined United for a massive sum back in 2019 has been criticised for his poor performances at the club recently.
The player however didn’t let the critics pull him down as he delivered a much needed performance in United’s recent UCL clash vs Coppenahagen to help the team bag it’s first three points of the ongoing season. The player’s relief and satisfaction following United’s win was pretty much evident from his words after the game.
Maguire expresses his pride about his own hard work that he has put in for United
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know as to what Harry Maguire had to say following United’s wonderful win over Coppenahagen in their recent UCL match. The 30 year old defender headed in Eriksen’s cross in the 72nd minute to find the back of the net. Thanks to Maguire’s goal, United were able to finally end their losing streak in the current UCL season.

Maguire, who was being criticised and trolled for his poor show for the club over the past several months finally turned up to the party and helped his side snatch victory from jaws of defeat against the odds. He said,”I’m really proud and pleased with the way I’ve acted over the last 6-12 months”.“I’ve been given an opportunity now and I just want to be here to help the team and get this club back to where it should be”. The fact that Maguire is proud about the way in which the things have taken a turn recently is certain.
“Manchester United is the scrutinised club in the world”.”I’m really proud how I’ve reacted over the last 12 month, we have to keep going. I’m so happy”, Maguire added. The former Everton player has been a part of the red Devils for nearly 5 years now. He has played a total of 181 matches across all competitions until now for Manchester United. It remains to be seen as to whether the player is able to continue his fine form for the club in the remainder of the season too.
