Erling Haaland's outburst in response to Simon Cooper's decision.
On Sunday, Manchester City were held to a disappointing 3-3 draw by Tottenham Hotspur. Ange Postecoglou’s team would have felt ‘let off the hook’ as a result of a ‘controversial’ decision by match referee Simon Hooper. Erling Haaland could not hold back his rage in a ‘three-word’ outburst on social media. In the last minutes of the game, Haaland set up Jack Grealish for an easy finish, giving the Cityzens a clear scoring opportunity.
Erling Haaland produced a magnificent through ball for teammate Jack Grealish in the 93rd minute of the game when the event occurred. However, much to the anger and dismay of Manchester City players and fans, referee Simon Hooper quickly called the whistle, canceling a potential game-winner.
The Norwegian fell before rising to his feet and making the pass. Unfortunately for them, the whistle for the foul was blown only after Grealish had a clear view of the goal, prompting Haaland’s anger on social media. “Wtf” was the player’s response to a similar message.

In a fantastic City team goal, Jeremy Doku’s shot ricocheted against the crossbar before Phil Foden transferred the ball into the net.
However, the game did not end without controversy as a foul on Erling Haaland was called at the most unfortunate moment for the Citizens. Grealish was through on goal when the referee called back the foul. Following the game, Manchester City sit 3rd while Tottenham Hotspur are 5th.
