Barcelona Transfer News: Barcelona has offered 3 players to Real Sociedad to get Martin Zubimendi

Barcelona Transfer News: Barcelona allegedly wants to acquire Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi without having to pay the €60 million release clause by offering three players as compensation to Real Sociedad.

The Blaugrana are reportedly willing to send Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, and Pablo Torre to the Erreala in order to guarantee Zubimendi’s signing, as reported by El Nacional. Xavi wants to replace Sergio Busquets, therefore he has his eye on the Spaniard. The experienced midfielder will not be renewing his contract at Camp Nou at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Because of his importance to Sociedad this year, the club is reluctant to let the 24-year-old go. He has played in 40 games across all competitions, with one goal and four assists to his name. The Spanish midfielder has been a steady presence for Imanol Alguacil.

With Barcelona’s current financial situation, it’s quite unlikely that they’ll be able to meet Zubimendi’s €60 million release clause. In order to get the midfielder’s services, they are prepared to employ Fati, Torres, or Torre.

The Blaugrana are willing to move one of the three to the Reale Arena in exchange for the player. All three have struggled throughout their time at Camp Nou, and their exits have been discussed for the summer.

The 20-year-old Fati has seen his playing time decrease under Xavi, as he has only started 13 of 47 games in all competitions. There have been rumours that he may be traded to Wolverhampton Wanderers for Ruben Neves.

Torres, who is just 23, is unwanted at Barcelona because of the depth of Xavi’s attacking options. He’s played in 41 games, scoring seven times and assisting twice. They gave €55 million to Manchester City to get him in January of 2022, and they are ready to cut their losses.

Torre, who turned 20 this month, joined the Blaugrana from Racing Santander last summer but has yet to make the first squad. He’s played 10 games at the senior level and scored twice for the squad. Before he signed with Barcelona, Sociedad showed interest in the talented Spanish midfielder.
