Alexis Sanchez makes a return to Serie A club following Marseille exit
Olympique Marseille player Alexis Sanchez has made a return to the Serie A via this summer’s transfer window. the negotiations with respect to the players move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Marseille only an year ago is now also to part ways with the club so as to make a return to Inter Milan in the Serie A. The players move to his new club in Italy has almost been completed as per the confirmation of several sources.
Alexis Sanchez joins Inter Milan on a permanent deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Alexis Sanchez’s move to Inter Milan has almost been completed. The Chilean will be back to Inter Milan on a free transfer after spending the last season at Marseille. The agreement between the two clubs has been reached as the medicals have been booked on Friday. Sanchez will be replacing Joaquin Correa who’s off to Marseille.
Alexis Sanchez who was born in 1988 began his senior career with Chilean club – Cobreloa in 2005 aged 17. He made a move to Colo Colo a couple years later. It was in the 2007/08 season that he joined Argentine club – River Plate. The following season saw him join Serie A club Udinese. After over a hundred appearances for the club in three seasons, he made a move to Barcelona in the 2011/12 season.

After a three year stay at the Spanish club, he joined Arsenal in the Premier League. He scored 80 goals in 166 matches for the gunners before joining Manchester United in the 2017/18 season. In 2020/21 he was loaned out to Inter Milan wherein his move became permanent a season later. He spent the last season at Olympique Marseille and is now all set to mark a return to Inter Milan again.
Inter Milan have been in great form lately. The side finished third in the league last season. With 73 points in 38 matches, the team cemented it’s place in the upcoming season’s Champions league. The team also finished as runners up in the Champions’ league last season.
The motto for the Nerazzuri nowon will be to perform well in the ongoing league season and deliver impactful performances in the champions league as well. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Alexis Sanchez to help the side achieve its objectives.
