Richard Arnold leaves Manchester United

Richard Arnold, the chief executive of Manchester United, is set to depart the organization after more than 16 years of service. Arnold is going to transfer his portion of the club’s duties to Patrick Stewart, the interim CEO.

There are already alterations taking place in the Manchester United boardroom as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s acquisition of a minority share draws closer. During the changeover, Patrick Stewart, the club’s chief legal officer since 2006, will act as interim CEO. Senior leaders are doubting their position since the next CEO is still unknown.

Sir David John Brailsford, the INEOS Director of Sport, is a serious candidate for CEO. As he presently works for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, internal hires appear to be given precedence. If Ratcliffe’s takeover is approved, Manchester United supporters expect changes and want a board with greater experience.

One of the front-runners for the CEO job is Jean-Claude Blanc, the former CEO of Juventus who is currently in charge of the team’s athletic portfolio at the INOES company. This might mean a smooth transfer.

Supporters of Manchester United are crying out for change

Conversations with supporters of Manchester United soon led to the need for personnel changes at the club, particularly at the top. United supporters always refer to the Glazers as the main issue, despite the fact that early responses to game performances typically place the responsibility on the players and the manager.

Until the club ratifies Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s minority ownership, those modifications cannot be performed. With bated breath, United supporters pray that these improvements actually happen.
