Galatasaray player Yunus Akgün has made a move to the championship following his departure from the Turkish club via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Galatasaray around 5 years back is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Leicester City on loan in the championship.Yunus Akgün’s loaned move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Yunus Akgün to join Leicester City on a loan deal
Fabrizio Romano via his revelations has made it clear that Leicester City have completed the Yunus Akgün deal from Galatasaray. The player is now on his way for the medical tests. The deal has been sealed on loan with buy option – if he plays 25 games, Leicester have to buy him for €10m.
Yunus Akgün who was born in 2000 began his senior career with Galatasaray in 2018 at the age of 18. He was loaned out to Adana Demirspor a couple years later. At the end of his loan period he returned to Galatasaray only to join Adana again on loan at a fee of 1.2 Cr INR.

The winger returned to Galatasaray most recently ahead of the 2022/23 season. The player has played a total of 61 games for Galatasaray till date. While on the other hand he made 70 appearances for Adana Demirspor during his time at the club as a loan player.
Leicester City have been in rather poor form recently. The side finished 18th in the league last season. With just 34 points in 38 matches, the team failed to avoid the relegation zone and we’re demoted to the Championship the following season.
The team’s major motto will be to perform incredibly well in the ongoing championship season and thereby make a sublime return to the Premier League next season. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including young Yunus Akgün to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
