William Gallas says that Arsenal have made a mistake by signing Kai Havertz
Premier league club – Arsenal have been really impactful in the ongoing season so far. The team has delivered quality performances in both the Premier League as well as the UCL thereby carrying on their good form from the previous season. The club made several signings prior to the beginning of the ongoing season during the summer transfer window. Amidst several players that they signed, one was Kai Havertz who parted ways with Chelsea to join the gunners. Former French professional footballer – William Gallas has had his say on Havertz’s signing for Arsenal recently.
Havertz duration at Arsenal has been a lean one so far
Former Chelsea player and UCL 2021 winner Kai Havertz made a move to Arsenal via the recent summer transfer window prior to the beginning of the ongoing 2023/24 season. The player has been rather off colours for his new club until now. The forward has not been able to deliver any impactful performances for a side that has been really good otherwise.

William Gallas pointed towards the poor show by Havertz for Arsenal and told that Arsenal might have made a mistake by signing him. He said,”I don’t think Arsenal should have signed Kai Havertz. I think that was a mistake. If you spent £60million on a striker, you expect them to score at least 15 goals in a season. I don’t think that’ll happen. Havertz hasn’t done anything yet and I think he’s in trouble.”
Kai Havertz who joined Arsenal following his magnificent time at Chelsea wherein he scored 32 goals and provided 15 assists in 139 matches has not been able to replicate his form for Arteta’s side. His stats have been poor since his arrival at the new club wherein he has managed to score just once besides providing one assist in a total of 13 appearances across all competitions. It remains to be seen as to whether the player is able to initiate a turnaround hereon and help the team reach greater heights in the remainder of the ongoing season.
