Nigerian footballer Victor Boniface is on verge of joining Bayern Leverkusen from Union Saint Gilloise. Boniface who was being seen as a target by many other clubs will eventually end up in Germany as per multiple sources currently. The player has initially agreed on personal terms with the Bundesliga club which further increased the chances of his sucessful move to the club. Although Everton were in race to sign the Nigerian earlier, Bayern seemed to end up as the frontrunners as they initiated advanced talks regarding the deal to sign Boniface from Union Saint Gilloise over the past few days. The deal kept getting closer and has eventually reached it’s final stages as of now.
Boniface to Bayern Leverkusen is a done deal
Fabrizio Romano in his recent social media posts made an exclusive announcement regarding Boniface’s transfer to Bayern Leverkusen. The fee as per the negotiations of both the concerned clubs shall be worth more than £20m plus add ons. It was advanced since yesterday and is finally complete today. Boniface who has been in brilliant form lately will definitely be a magnificent addition to the Bayern Leverkusen team for the upcoming season. Boniface as per the reports has also completed his medical tests at his new club and is this on verge of signing as Bayern Leverkusen player now on a five year deal.
The Nigerian forward had 34 goal contributions last season, enough to prove his brilliant run of form recently. During his stay at Saint Gilloise, the 22 year old played 51 games for the club, scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists. Bayern Leverkusen who finished 6th in the Bundesliga in 2022/23 season shall be featuring in Europa league in the upcoming season. The onus will be on their newly signed striker to deliver quality performances so as to catapult his team to higher level in the upcoming season. It remains to be seen as to whether the young goal scorer is able to fit into his new time and add value to the club hereon.
