Thorgan Hazard makes a move to Belgian club following Dortmund exit
Dortmund player Thorgan Hazard has made a move to the Belgian league via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Dortmund around 4 years ago is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Anderlecht. The player’s move to his new club in Belgium has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Thorgan Hazard joins Anderlecht on a permanent deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Thorgan Hazard’s move to Anderlecht has almost been completed. The Belgian club is signing the player on a three year contract. Hazard is joining the club on a €4m fee.
Thorgan Hazard who was born in 1993 began his senior career with French club Lens in the year 2011 at the age of 18. He joined Chelsea the following season and was loaned out to Zulte Waregem that season itself. After spending a couple of seasons with the Belgian club, he made a move to Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan. His move became permanent the next season.
He stayed at the club until 2018/19 and played 182 games for the club in the tenure. He joined Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and made 122 appearances for the club during his four stay at the club until 2022. The last season saw him being loaned out to PSV in the Eredevisie, wherein he got to play 13 matches for the later half of the season.
Anderlecht FC meanwhile haven’t been in best of their form lately. The side hasn’t been able to finish amongst the top 2 in the league for six straight seasons and are in a spot of bother presently. They’ll be desparate to gain some momentum from the upcoming season onwards.
The onus will be on their newly signed players to get their fortune back on track hereon. It remains to be seen as to whether Hazard is able to fit into his new team’s system and add value to the club in the times to come or not.
