Raphinha Transfer News: According to reports, Barcelona has placed a £70 million price cap on Chelsea and Newcastle United target Raphinha

Raphinha Transfer News: According to reports, Barcelona has placed a £70 million price cap on Chelsea and Newcastle United target Raphinha for the 2023–24 season.

Since joining Barcelona from Leeds United for about £55 million last summer, Raphinha, 26-year-old, has been an integral component of the Catalan giants’ roster. So far this season, he has played in 45 games, scoring 10 goals and assisting on 11.

To make place for new additions, the Blaugrana may opt to let go of the 16-time Brazil international this summer. To meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) requirements, they need to raise money.

When the summer transfer market opens, Barcelona will reportedly listen to bids between £61 million and £71 million for Raphinha. For sports reasons, the player wants out badly because he is worried about losing his first-team position for the next season, which would hurt his international goals.

Chelsea and Newcastle United have recently shown interest in signing Raphinha, who is under contract with Barcelona until June 2027. Both Premier League teams can offer the top player an annual salary of around £10.5 million.
