Aston villa player Philippe Coutinho has made a move to the Qatari league via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Aston Villa back in 2021 for the first time, is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Al Duhail on loan. The player’s move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Philippe Coutinho joins Al Duhail on a loan deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Philippe Coutinho’s loaned move to Al Duhail has almost been completed. The player shall be joining the Qatari club on a season long loan from Aston villa. The move is based on a loan deal with 100% of the salary having been covered as per the confirmations of Fabrizio.
Philippe Coutinho who was born in 1992 began his senior career with Brazilian club Vasco Da Gama in 2009 at the age of 17. A couple years later, he joined Inter Milan in the Serie A. He joined Premier league club – Liverpool in the 2013/14 season. He stayed at the club until the 2017/18 season scoring 54 goals in 201 matches.
His next move saw him join Barcelona in 2017. He spent around 4 years at the club scoring 26 goals in 106 matches. It was in the 2021/22 season that he joined Aston Villa on loan with the move becoming a permanent one the following season. He has played a total of 43 matches for the club till date scoring 6 goals.
Al Duhail have been in pretty good form lately. The team won the league title last season handsomely with 51 points in 22 matches throughout the season. The team is in good position currently too as they’re placed third in the league table currently with 7 points in 3 matches so far in the ongoing league season.
