Jesse Lingard on verge of joining Saudi Arabian club on free transfer
English professional footballer – Jesse Lingard is closing in on a move to Saudi Arabian club. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move to Saudi club – Al Ettifaq are in progress over the past few days. The player who has become a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Nottingham forest in the end of the previous 2022/23 season shall possibly make a move to Al Ettifaq on a free transfer now. The player’s move to his new club in Saudi Arabia is to be completed soon as per the confirmations of several sources.

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Jesse Lingard’s move to Al Ettifaq is nearly a done deal as nd shall be completed soon. The player who has been a free agent since the end of the last season at Nottingham forest shall be joining the Saudi club. Al Ettifaq too seem interested to sign the player as they shall be sealing the deal to sign Lingard on a free transfer soon.
Jesse Lingard who was born in 1992 began his senior career with Manchester United in 2011 at the age of 19. He stayed at the club for 11 long years during which he played 232 matches across all competitions scoring 35 goals in total. He thereon spent the last season at Nottingham forest wherein he got to play just 20 games throughout the entire 2022/23 season scoring just 2 goals. It remains to be seen as to whether he is able to find his rhythm after joining his new club in Saudi Arabia.

Al Ettifaq havent been in good form recently. The team managed just a 7th place finish in the Saudi pro league in the 2022/23 season having managed just 37 points in 30 games with only 10 wins. The side will be desperate to see their players perform well so that their position in the league and other competitions get enhanced.
The onus will be on their newly signed players including Jesse Lingard.. It remains to be seen as to whether the former Manchester United player is able to fit into his new team and value to the club as a whole.
