Manchester United Transfer News: Tommy Moller Nielsen, a scout for Manchester United, kept an eye on Swedish phenom Lucas Bergvall

Manchester United Transfer News: Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Lucas Bergvall, according to a report from the Daily Mail. Scout Tommy Moller Nielsen was recently sent by the Red Devils to evaluate the 17-year-old Swedish phenom. However, because he just joined his current team a few months ago, a summer transfer may not be in the cards.

In his native Sweden, Lucas Bergvall is widely regarded as a promising future leader. The young prodigy developed his skills at IF Brommapojkarna and even made it into the club’s first team during his time there. Since he first joined Djurgarden on February 1, 2023, he has made tremendous strides.

The 17-year-old plays center midfield and is a ball of energy on the pitch. The Swedish phenom has played in six games for Djurgardens IF and scored once. Manchester United is reportedly interested in the young player because of his development.

Even though he is relatively unknown, Manchester United’s interest in Bergvall is not unexpected. The Red Devils are well-known for their tireless pursuit of exceptional players. Manchester United’s approach has helped the club find the likes of David Beckham, Marcus Rashford, and many more.

Some of his contemporaries, notably Trevan Sanusi, have been mentioned as possible future starters for Manchester United. And recently, Manchester United took notice of Lucas Bergvall. This current turn of events is the result of a scouting mission conducted by Tommy Moller Nielsen during a recent Djurgarden game.

The Swedish adolescent isn’t Manchester United’s lone target among promising young players. The Red Devils and Romeo Lavia have been linked in recent rumors. Therefore, it is expected that Manchester United would make long-term investments in a few central midfielders.

If Bergvall does sign with Manchester United, we may expect to see him on their under-21 squad. Despite his extensive time with the first team, he is not expected to make the cut for the Old Trafford main squad. But if the Swedish superstar doesn’t keep improving quickly, he won’t have a future at Manchester United.
