Manchester United Transfer News: Manchester United gets a boost in Harry Kane signing

Manchester United Transfer News: Bayern Munich apparently no longer wants to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, which is great news for Manchester United.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Manchester United have made it a top priority to sign Kane this summer. Bayern Munich has also been interested in the striker for quite some time, but they don’t want to go into a bidding war with the English powerhouses.

Sport Bild reports that after speaking with Kane’s father, Pat, Bayern’s interest in the 29-year-old striker has “cooled” since the club now believes his son would like to stay in England.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is looking to improve his striker options with the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo and the injury troubles of Antony Martial, therefore, he hopes to sign the forward.

For the past decade, Kane has been the most valuable player for the Spurs. For Spurs, he has made 430 total appearances, scoring 274 goals and assisting on 64 others.

He has scored 27 goals this season, despite his team’s difficulties, demonstrating his goal-scoring skill. He has one year left on his current Spurs deal, and any potential suitor would have to pay well over £100 million to acquire his services.

Lautaro Martinez, a striker for Inter Milan, is supposedly a target for Manchester United this summer. Manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly quite fond of the Argentine forward Gonzalo Martinez, and Fichajes reports that the club has made him one of their main striking targets.

In 2018, Martinez signed a £20 million transfer to Italy from Racing Club. Since then, the team has won four titles thanks in large part to his efforts, including the 2020-21 Serie A championship.

The 21-year-old has played in 47 games this season, scoring 21 goals and adding eight assists. Manchester United will keep a close eye on Martinez’s status because of his high scoring output and make an offer if one becomes available.
