Liverpool Transfer News: Liverpool identify a £44 million rated alternative to Jude Bellingham
Liverpool Transfer News: It has been claimed that Liverpool is interested in signing Aston Villa player Jacob Ramsey as a replacement for Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham, who is finalising a summer transfer to Real Madrid.
Before Real Madrid came calling, the Reds were among the favourites to sign Bellingham. According to The Times, the asking price for the 19-year-old was above £100 million, so they decided to chill their interest in him.
To replace Bellingham, Liverpool reportedly has Ramsey on their wishlist for the next summer transfer window. Reds coach Jurgen Klopp has a lot of respect for the Brit.
Although still under contract with Aston Villa until June 2027, Ramsey’s versatility and physicality make him a potential asset to Liverpool. Aston Villa, though, is not prepared to let its academy graduate go.
If Ramsey were to sign with Liverpool in the future, he would challenge Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, and Curtis Jones for a starting spot. The 21-year-old has potential as a substitute on either wing for the rescue squad.
