Liverpool again linked with Adrien Rabiot as he speaks about him being a Reds supporter

When speaking to Tuttosport, the French international, who is 27 years old, stated his affection for the Premier League club Liverpool, with whom he has been associated in the past.

Rabiot has said that he has always been a Liverpool supporter and that his childhood hero was former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard. His comments will undoubtedly spark talk of a possible summer transfer to Liverpool’s Anfield.

As Juventus and the 27-year-old have not been able to reach an extension agreement, he will be a free agent this summer. Since joining Juventus, the French international has been an integral part of the team, and he also excelled for his country in the 2018 World Cup.

Whether or not Liverpool can persuade the World Cup finalist to sign with them on a free transfer is an important question. Jurgen Klopp will need to replace players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, who are both poised to leave Liverpool as free agents, thus the Reds’ midfield is in dire need of reinforcements.

Liverpool may have made a brilliant move by signing Rabiot for a free transfer. That would free up funds that might be used to strengthen the rest of the team. Liverpool should not pass up possibilities to sign bargains in the forthcoming window if they are serious about rebuilding and returning to the race for big honours.

Many other European teams are expected to be interested in Rabiot, so he won’t have a lack of suitors. The question that remains is whether or not Liverpool can beat out the competition and sign him in the coming months.

Liverpool’s midfield would benefit from the addition of the 27-year-old’s passing, calmness, and defensive cover if he signs with the club this summer. He should utilize this opportunity to go up to the Premier League and show what he’s made of as a player.
