Lisandro Martínez to undergo a second operation as United’s injury wors continues

Manchester United have been struggling under several challenging situations on the pitch recently. The team hasn’t been able to get off to a good start in this season after a fine display in the 2022/23 season. The team’s overall performances have gone down by a great extent lately which has resulted in massive disappointment amongst the fans for sure.

Another major issue which the team has had to face over and over again recently is that of the player’s sustaining injury on a regular basis. Lisandro Martinez who has been one of the most impactful players for the team ever since joining them sustained an injury on his right foot in the recent league game against Arsenal.

The player had initially injured that area back in a Europa league match against Sevilla last season in April. Unfortunately for him and his team, the same right foot of his has once again been vulnerable recently. The player shall now undergo another operation on his broken metatarsal. The operation shall take place on the fifth metatarsal of his right foot to be precise. It will take place next week as cokfiyby Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation. This will result in Lisandro being ruled out for the upcoming three months.

Lisandro Martinez who was born in 1998 began his senior career with Newel’s old boys in 2016 at the age of 18. He made a move to Eredevisie club – Ajax in 2019. After having played over a 100 games for the club in three years, he joined Manchester United in 2022. The Argentinian has so far played 51 matches for the Red devils across all competitions.

Manchester United hasn’t got off to a good start so far this season. The team has lost four of its opening 7 games in the Premier League so far this season. The team also lost its opening UCL game against Bayern Munich away from home lately. It remains to be seen as to whether the team is able to turn things around and put up a stronger show in the remainder of the season hereon.
