To get rid of the midfielder they see as the next Amadou Onana, Lille reportedly wants as much as £30 million from teams interested in acquiring Carlos Baleba, including those coached by Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and Eddie Howe at Newcastle United.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United, West Ham United, and Leicester City, according to a source from this morning, have all watched Lille midfielder Baleba this season and are interested in signing him during the summer transfer window.

The French club would be prepared to go with the 19-year-old midfielder for as much as £30 million. The figure is the same to what Everton paid Lille in the summer of 2022 to acquire Onana, then 21 years old.

We don’t think any team will spend £30 million for Carlos Baleba in the next transfer window. We do not expect any of the major teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United, or Manchester United to invest £30 million for a 19-year-old who is just getting started in his career.

As a substitute, the 19-year-old has played in all 12 of Lille’s Ligue 1 games this season, although he has only started three.
