Juventus boss has his say on Wojciech Szczesny
Juventus have undoubtedly been one of the most decorated clubs in Italy in the history of football. The team has always been at the top of it’s game. Be it in the league or in the UCL, the team has delivered several noteworthy performances over the years. Juventus manager Max Allegri who has been in charge for the past couple of years now had his say on the team’s overall performances.
His major part of discussion included the Polish goalkeeper – Wojciech Szczesny. Allegri was in all praise of Szczesny and said that his performances have been crucial in the upliftment of the team many times. He said “I’ve no doubts, Wojciech Szczesny is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe. He’s among the very best”.
Szczesny joined Juventus back in 2017 from Arsenal. The 33 year old has so far played 222 games for Juventus across all competitions. Amongst those matches, he’s conceeded a total of 208 goals and kept 91 clean sheets.

The Old Lady however has had to go through some tough times in the last one year or so. The team was held guilty for violating the Financial Fair Play regulations. Due to this they were kicked out of the Europa Conference League 2023/24 season despite qualifing for the competition head of this season. The team also was chopped off of it’s 15 points in the league last season which resulted in it’s absence from the UCL this season.
The team however has got off to a fairly good start this season. The team sits fourth in the table with 14 points to its name in 7 games. The major motto for the Bianconeri will be to turn things around in the league and also reclaim their spot in the top 4 to play in the UCL next season. It remains to be seen as to whether the team is able to achieve its objectives hereon or not.
