Jude Bellingham had his say as to who deserved to win the Ballon d’or
The FIFA Ballon D’or 2023 award ceremony took the footballing world by storm and rightly so. The event saw Argentine player – Lionel Messi lift the prestigious award for a record eighth time in his illustrious career till date.
The player who was the hero for Argentina during the World Cup in 2022 was given the award thanks to his fantastic performances in the tournament and other heroics throughout the season. However there were several other players who were strong contenders to win the award ahead of Messi. Amidst several conversations, Jude Bellingham gave his opinion with regards to Messi’s winning the Ballon d’or 2023.

The young star from Germany was absolutely fantastic throughout the past season for Dortmund and England combined. His move to Real Madrid prior to the beginning of the ongoing season made things only better as he’s been undoubtedly the best player for his side and in Europe so far this season.

From Birmingham to Dortmund, now to Real Madrid. There is more to come”. The player’s humble words towards Messi prove how much he admires his abilities on the pitch. The 20-year-old also let everyone know that he is thankful to everyone who provided him with all the support thereby helping him to win the Kopa trophy.
Bellingham who has been the most talked about player in the season so far has been at the peak of his powers without any doubt. The player has so far scored 12 goals and provided 3 assists in 13 matches for Real Madrid across all competitions. It remains to be seen as to whether the player is able to continue his fine form in the times to come.
