Joaquín Correa makes a move to Ligue 1 club following Inter Milan exit
Inter Milan player Joaquin Correa has made a move to the Ligue 1 via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Inter around a couple of years ago is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join none other than Olympique Marseille on loan. The player’s move to his new club in France has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Joaquin Correa joins Marseille on a loan deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Joaquin Correa’s move to Inter Milan has almost been completed. The deal with regard to the player’s transfer involves a £2m fee plus £10m buy option clause. The buy clause will be mandatory in case OM will qualify to UCL 2024/25. The medicals have been booked on Friday.
Joaquin Correa who was born in 1994 began his senior career with Estudiantes in the Argentine Primera division in the 2010/11 season at the age of 17. After four seasons at the club, he made a move to Italian club – Sampdoria. He made 31 appearances for the club in two years and then joined Sevilla in the 2016/17 season.
He made a return to Serie A another couple years later when he joined Lazio. He was loaned out to Inter Milan in the 2021/22 season. The move became a permanent one the following season.
Marseille have been in fairly good rhythm lately. The side finished third in the league last season under PSG and Lens. With 73 points in 38 games, the team cemented it’s place in the upcoming season’s champions league qualifiers. The team’s major motto nowon will be to perform even better in the ongoing league season and deliver impactful performances in the Champions’ league too. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Joquin Correa to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
