Is Jordi Alba moving from Barcelona to Atletico?
It has been claimed that Atletico Madrid would attempt to acquire Jordi Alba from Barcelona during the next summer transfer window.
Spanish news site Mundo Deportivo claims that Atletico Madrid is interested in signing forward Jordi Alba. The Colchonerosi are monitoring the status of the experienced player from Barcelona. Alba wants to see out his contract, although Barcelona is already looking to move on from him in front of the 2023–24 campaign.
Since his return to Barcelona from Valencia over a decade ago, Jordi Alba has been one of the top fullbacks in the world. Prior to his meteoric rise with Valencia CF, the 34-year-old spent most of his formative years at La Masia. After moving back to Barcelona, though, Alba’s popularity soared.
With almost 450 appearances for Barcelona, the Spanish international has contributed 27 goals and 99 assists. However, Alba’s output has diminished greatly during the last several years. When the summer transfer market opens, Barcelona will gladly let the experienced defender go. Atletico Madrid is paying close attention to this kind of circumstance.
In the next summer transfer window, Atletico Madrid will be actively seeking a new left-back. This is due to the fact that Los Rojiblancos have been without Reinildo Mandava for quite some time. Atletico Madrid may need to replace the Mozambican defender during the summer transfer window as he nurses a knee ailment.
Atletico Madrid might need a temporary substitute for promising full-back Reinaldo. As a result, Alba is now a realistic option for the Colchoneros, particularly if he becomes a free agent and departs Barcelona. The fact that Real Madrid is keeping tabs on the situation with the experienced defender at Spotify Camp Nou is not unexpected.

It remains to be seen whether Barcelona is able to sell Alba during the next summer transfer window. If that does occur, he may go to Atletico Madrid, however, Al-Hilal will want to get him back to join Lionel Messi at Barcelona.
