Edinson Cavani is all set to leave Valencia this summer

Valencia striker Edinson Cavani has been in the news in recent weeks amid speculations that he wants to terminate his contract despite having one year left with Los Che. He is all set to sign for his new side Boca Juniors on a free transfer this summer as the transfer window stays open.

It appears that the 36-year-old has found an agreement with his former side Valencia to terminate his contract prematurely despite having a year left in his current deal. Boca is all set to complete the transfer and sign a deal with the Uruguayan striker for a one-and-a-half-year contract.

Boca Juniors signs Cavani on a free transfer

Boca Juniors are on the verge of signing Edinson Cavani for a term of one and a half years after the ex-PSG star accepted the conditions and is all set to terminate his current contract with Valencia prematurely despite having one year left with them. Cavani looked no different on the Los Che side which has been at a low ebb over the years. Cavani’s brother also informed earlier about the termination of the contract with Valencia. “The termination of the contract with Valencia is being fixed. Although we want it to be done quickly, we’ll see how the Valencia thing ends and if he reaches an agreement with Boca. I have a good feeling that his arrival in Boca will be achieved. This time is different from the others. His return to South America is all more on track. Boca has a lot of history. I dream of seeing him with the shirt. I want him to arrive as much as the people who write to me. I’ve said it to him. I love that idea”, his brother said earlier.

Cavani has been one of the best strikers of the generation but his glorious days are behind him as he is not at the best of his capabilities at present. Cavani started off his career with Palermo, a Serie A side, and played four seasons for them featuring in 117 matches and scoring 37 goals. He then moved to Napoli and had the best years of his career as he appeared in 138 matches scoring 104 goals. The Uruguayan was then signed up by PSG and in 301 appearances he scored 200 goals. He was one of the finest strikers of the generation as his numbers speak. Cavani joined Manchester United for two seasons in the year 2020 and featured in 59 matches scoring 19 goals. With Valencia, he played his first La Liga making 25 appearances and scoring 5 times.
