Divock Origi makes a move to Nottingham forest following Milan exit

AC Milan player Divock Origi has made a move to the Premier League via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined AC Milan only last year is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Premier League club – Nottingham forest on loan. The player’s move to his new club in England has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Divock Origi joins Nottingham forest on a loan deal

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Divock Origi’s move to Nottingham forest has nearly been completed. The player shall be joining the English club on a loan deal. The contract with regard to Origi’s transfer shall be valid for the upcoming season only.

Divock Origi who was born in 1995 began his senior career with Ligue 1 club – Lille in the 2012/13 season at the age of 17. After having made 89 appearances for the side in three years, he made a move to Premier League club – Liverpool. He became an integral part of the side after a couple of seasons. It was in the 2018/19 season that he helped Liverpool lift the UEFA champions league under Jurgen Klopp.

He also was a part of the side that lifted the Premier League next season. He has made a total of 175 appearances for the club scoring 41 goals. He spent the last season at AC Milan wherein he got to play 36 games across all competitions for the club.

Nottingham forest have been in rather average form lately. The team finished 16th in the league last season. With 39 points in 38 matches throughout the season, the team narrowly managed to escape the relegation zone. The team’s major motto will be to perform much better in the ongoing league season and avoid any chances of relegation next season. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Divock Origi to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
