Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest legal victory US Court rejects millions of dollars lawsuit
US Court rejects R*pe accuser’s demand for millions.
Cristiano Ronaldo is now embroiled in a court fight with Kathyrn Mayorga, an American model-teacher who accused the Portuguese star of sexually abusing her. A US judge denied Kathyrn’s appeal after her lawyer demanded more money than the £275,000 hush money given by the player after she accused him of rape in 2009.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who played for Manchester United in 2009, was accused of sexually assaulting former teacher-turned-model Kathyrn Mayorga in his hotel’s bedroom during a vacation to Las Vegas.
The complaint was filed roughly 9 years after the incident occurred and is currently being considered in US Courts. Ronaldo’s attorneys have denied any misconduct on the player’s part, arguing that the act was totally consensual between the two.
In 2010, Ronaldo and Mayorga struck a tentative arrangement in which the model received £275,000 in hush money. The complaint, which was later filed in Nevada by Mayorga’s attorneys, sought an extra $25 million from Ronaldo and his legal team, claiming defamation, fraud, and conspiracy. After a comprehensive examination, Nevada District Judge Jennifer Dorsey denied the claim on many grounds, and her judgement was confirmed by the San Francisco appellate court.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s legal case has made a twist
Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Real Madrid forward and five-time Ballon d’Or winner was accused of rape and sexual assault by then-25-year-old Las Vegas-based model Kathryn Mayorga; the allegations were refuted by the legal team defending the Al Nassr star, who claimed the intercourse was consensual.
The issue has been dragging on for 14 years and appears to be an endless legal ordeal for the athlete. Ronaldo’s criminal case was never resolved; he was never found guilty or acquitted of any of the claims, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for the star.
