Arsenal is interested to sign Arthur Melo in the summer transfer window of 2023
The Premier League’s best team, Arsenal, is poised to make another bid for the services of Brazilian midfielder Arthur. Premier League leaders Arsenal are reportedly preparing to resume their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Arthur, as reported by Calciomercato.
The Brazilian is spending the season on loan with the English club from the Italian giants Juventus. Arthur was brought to Merseyside last summer during an injury crisis in the Reds’ midfield, but he has yet to make an impact.
The 26-year-old has played in just one game for Jurgen Klopp’s squad. His tenure at Anfield has been hampered by injuries, and it’s unclear whether or not the second half of the 2022–23 season will be productive for him.
Arthur’s career has taken serious damage from an injury epidemic in recent years. He’s played for Barcelona, Juventus, and now Liverpool, and he still has a long career ahead of him. The Brazilian has a good shot at regaining his form and finding his groove again.
Arsenal is patiently but surely assembling a promising youth roster. The centre midfield position is one that needs fixing, and it seems like Arthur is once again on their radar. Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of the player and wants to sign him if Juventus lets him go in the summer.
The Bianconeri want Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes and are considering offering Arthur as a makeweight in a potential trade. Gabriel’s departure from the club may be made possible if the Gunners get Evan N’Dicka for nothing during the summer of 2023.
They may get a nice transfer money and a solid midfielder out of the deal. Juve’s willingness to loan Arthur to Liverpool suggests that things aren’t going well for the midfielder in Turin. With or without Gabriel, Arthur may go to the Emirates if a suitable opportunity presents itself.
Arthur is a smart, gifted playmaker whose outstanding ball control and awareness make him a valuable asset to any team that values possession football. Arthur has significant limitations, such as a lack of aerial power, but they may be overcome by pairing him with Thomas Partey.
Liverpool has a need for midfielders, but it’s unlikely that they’ll make Arthur’s stay permanent into the summer of 2023. Arsenal may have a window of opportunity to make a trade unless he puts in a sequence of world-class performances in the coming months.
