Manchester United is keeping tabs on Patrik Schick to replace Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United may look at Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick in the next offseason. According to the Spanish media site Fichajes, Patrik Schick is a possible target for the English club Manchester United. Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the club lately, the Red Devils have failed to sign a suitable successor for the superstar.

As Erik ten Hag has relied mostly on his wingers to score goals for Manchester United, it has become clear that the club has difficulty identifying and developing strikers. At times, it has seemed like the Dutch manager is forcing the team to play without a natural centre striker because he prefers Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in the middle.

United lacked a tall, lanky forward who could stretch the defence this year. Cody Gakpo, a forward for PSV Eindhoven, decided to seek a transfer to Liverpool after they had been monitoring him for some time.

Despite having renewed his contract in the summer, Schick has struggled to produce this season. But the forward has the talent and skill to succeed in English football.

The Red Devils, whatever their January actions, will likely spend heavily on a starting striker. United’s previous attempts to hire a new number nine have been disastrous, but ten Hag’s presence at the club should avoid a repetition of those failures.

Schick would be an ideal addition to the Dutchman’s system, and the manager would love to pair up with the player on a regular basis. Despite the fact that he is bound by contract, his price tag would be much greater than that of other forwards of his ilk.

The 26-year-old is only getting started, and he has a lot more to give before he reaches his full potential. United are showing signs of life again, and they will need at least the next two transfer windows to stabilize its present structure. In addition, they are looking to sign a striker for the remainder of the season, and although they could use Schick, a transaction would have to wait until the summer.
