Angelo Gabriel joins Ligue 1 side Strasbourg on loan
Angelo Gabriel who joined Chelsea this summer is all set to make his move to Strasbourg on loan. The 18-year-old signed from Santos in July for a fee of £13m. Gabriel featured in only five matches for Chelsea before making his new move to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg. Chelsea’s BlueCo ownership group who also owns Strasbourg is sending their new summer signings on loan to the Stade de la Meinau before the end of the transfer window. Chelsea also successfully signed Deivid Washington, a former teammate from Santos into their side for this summer.
Chelsea sends Gabriel to Strasbourg on loan
Strasbourg is owned by Chelsea’s BlueCo ownership group and is taking all the young newly signed talents to play in the Ligue 1 as a loan players for the season. 18-year-old Brazilian Angelo Gabriel was signed by Chelsea this summer in July and is now sent on loan to the Ligue 1 team Strasbourg.
Chelsea manager Pochettino revealed in his press conference, “He’s a young and talented player. We don’t know if he will have the possibility to play tomorrow. Now is the time to assess and see if he is going to be with us or the way the club signed, maybe it can be a possibility to loan or stay with us.”
Angelo Gabriel is a Brazilian football player who plays in the wing position. Gabriel started his career with the Brazilian team Santos back in 2020. He made 129 appearances in four seasons for Santos and also scored 5 goals and also assisted 10 times. Angelo scored his first professional goal on 6 April 2021, in a 3–1 Libertadores away win against San Lorenzo.
This summer he was signed by Chelsea for a fee in the region of £13 million in a long-term contract. The 18-year-old then made his new move to the Ligue 1 side Strasbourg on a loan of 1 year. The 2004-born winger will make his way in the Ligue 1 this season.
The talented Brazilian provided a clever assist for Ben Chilwell in the 5-0 against Wrexham before enjoying a second half cameo against Fulham. Angelo represented Brazil’s U-15, U-17, and U-20s. He scored in a 4-0 win against Uruguay. He is yet to make his debut for the senior national side and is expected to make his first appearance in the coming years.
