Alejandro Garnacho considers Cristiano Ronaldo to be his idol.\
Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United made headlines after bringing out the ‘Calma’ celebrations, popularised by Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring Manchester United’s first goal against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League match between the two teams.
Garnacho, who has been in excellent form this season, added to his stellar run with a spectacular overhead kick in United’s encounter against Everton on Sunday. Garnacho took first blood once more, scoring a stunning goal to open United’s account against Galatasaray. Following his score, he mimicked Cristiano Ronaldo‘s legendary ‘Calma Calma’ celebration, paying homage to the Portuguese great.
Garnacho has previously imitated the ‘Siu’ celebration, which was popularised by Cristiano Ronaldo. Garnacho is known to adore Cristiano Ronaldo and aspires to fill the iconic star’s shoes at Manchester United. Garnacho’s first UCL goal was set up by club captain Bruno Fernandes and some superb footwork by Scott McTominay. Critics may react to the Argentine’s ‘Calma’ celebration in the same way they did to the ‘Siu’ celebration.
