Ernest Nuamah makes a move to Ligue 1 club following Nordsjælland exit
Nordsjælland player Ernest Nuamah is closing in on a move to a French club via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with regard to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined the Danish club around four years ago is now all set to part ways with the club in order to join Olympique Lyon in the Ligue 1. The youngster’s move to his new club in France has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Ernest Nuamah to join Olympique Lyon on a permanent deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Ernest Nuamah’s move to Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyon has been nearly completed. The Ghanaian has completed his medicals as a new Olympique player. The fixed fee shall be that of £25m plus the add ons. The contract would be valid until the year 2028. The teenager shall be a record signing for Lyon.
Ernest Nuamah who was born in 2003 began his career with Danish club Nordsjælland in the 2021/22 season at the age of just 18. He got to make just 9 appearances throughout the season. He found some rhythm in the following season wherein he played a total of 39 games scoring 15 goals. Altogether he has made 49 appearances for the club scoring 21 goals during his tenure. The player is now all set to begin his new journey with Lyon in France.
Lyon have been in rather poor form in the recent past. The team finished 7th in the league last season. With just 62 points to their name in 38 games, the team missed out on a spot in the top 5 and this won’t be featuring in any of the European competitions in the 2023/24 season.
