Jeremy Sarmiento makes a move to the Championship club from the Premier League club
Bright and Hove Albion have confirmed the departure of their player, Jeremy Sarmiento in this transfer window. The player shall be joining Championship club West Bromwich on loan. The move is going to be a fine one for the player according to his former club. The negotiations regarding a loan move have finally been completed with regards to Sarmiento as have been confirmed by several sources including the club, Brighton themselves. Earlier Sarmiento had agreed on a new contract which would be valid until the year 2027 with the Premier League club, Brighton.

21-year-old Jeremy who is yet to take a giant leap in his senior professional career still has a long way to go hereon. The youngster began his professional career with Brighton in the year 2021 at the age of just 19. He broke into the senior squad that same year and delivered fairly good performances for the club early on. He got to make his Premier League debut in November of 2021. At the end of his first season with the club, he was awarded the “Young Player of the Season award” at Albion’s end-of-the-season awards.

The youngster underwent severe improvement even further in the upcoming season of 2022/23 wherein he made decent contributions to the team’s success in several league matches. Thanks to his fine display on the pitch, Brighton managed an impressive 6th-place finish in the Premier League 2022/23 season which means they’d be featuring in the Europa League next season. The youngster has featured in 19 games for Brighton during his 2-year stay at the club so far. He has registered 2 assists during this time period.
Sarmiento’s loaned move to West Brom which will be valid until June 24 as per Fabrizio’s official revelation recently. West Brom who’ll be looking to dominate the championship next season will certainly be satisfied following the addition of some fresh blood of Sarmiento’s kind to their squad. It remains to be seen as to how well Ecuador played fits into his new side and if he is able to add value to the club or not.
