Messi Transfer News: Joan Laporta reveals whether Barcelona will make a move for Lionel Messi
Messi Transfer News: Lionel Messi’s return to Camp Nou has been announced by Barcelona President Joan Laporta. He has promised that when the Argentine’s contract with PSG ends in the summer, they would do all in their power to sign him.
As his contract with PSG ends this summer, Messi will be a free agent. The Ligue 1 club has decided not to activate the Argentine’s one-year extension. Negotiations for a new deal have stopped because of his desire to go.
Laporta told Jijantes FC (via the Daily Mail) that preparations are already underway for next season’s team, and that Messi will be a part of it. La Liga has said that Barcelona is currently above the pay ceiling for next season.

There have been reports that Joan Laporta may try to bring Lionel Messi back to Barcelona this summer. The Argentine’s return was initially discussed in an interview with CBS Sports last summer.
Laporta said: “I would like to bring him back. It will not be easy but I think with the correct strategy we could do it. I think Messi has been the most important player in our history. During a long period of success he was the leader. He was the one who excited our supporters. We will do our best to have Lionel Messi ending his career at Barcelona and being applauded by everyone.”
If Barcelona can’t work out their differences, Lionel Messi has other options this summer, reportedly, Al Hilal and Inter Miami,
