Real Madrid Transfer News: Despite his lack of playing time, Eden Hazard has opted to remain with Real Madrid beyond the next summer. He plans on staying for the last year of his contract to be a part of the team’s celebrations.

Carlo Ancelotti has been reluctant to use Hazard this season due to Vinicius Jr.’s excellent play. The club president, Florentino Perez, allegedly has the Belgian on a “blacklist” and wants to get rid of him since he is not in the manager’s plans.

After winning the Copa del Rey, Hazard told Cadena Cope that he would be returning to Real Madrid for the next season. He said: “Honestly, I’m planning to stay at Real Madrid next season. I expect to stay as I want to celebrate the last year of the contract I have left.”

Hazard had said that he was open to departing in the summer, so this about-face comes as somewhat of a surprise. Ever since Hazard left Chelsea for Real Madrid, rumours have circulated about him joining Newcastle United and Arsenal.

While at Chelsea, Eden Hazard became a legend, but he ultimately decided to leave for Real Madrid in order to pursue his goal. He said he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play at the Santiago Bernabeu for Los Blancos, his childhood fantasy team.

Unfortunately for Hazard, his time on the field has been restricted by injuries in Madrid.
