Tottenham Transfer News: Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham on only one condition

Tottenham Transfer News: Manchester United apparently has its sights set on Harry Kane. Even more so, Football Insider reports that the 29-year-old is prepared to sign a long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur should Mauricio Pochettino be named the club’s next manager.

After firing Antonio Conte on Sunday, Tottenham must choose a competent successor for the Italian coach. Managers like Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino have been discussed as possible hires for the north London club in recent weeks.

During his first stint as manager, Pochettino and his players formed a strong bond. Also, he coached Harry Kane to become a top scorer in the globe.

Tottenham Transfer News: While rumours have suggested Harry Kane would leave Tottenham this summer, the return of Mauricio Pochettino might convince him to remain

Under his leadership, Spurs made a serious run at the league and Champions League titles. The 51-year-old Argentinian apparently has no problem with coming back. Pochettino may feel that he has unfinished business at the club and would want to bring home a championship with them.

Kane has made it plain that he wants to remain with Tottenham if the previous boss Mauricio Pochettino is reinstated. The next few months should reveal whether or not Daniel Levy is willing to bring the 51-year-old back to the Premier League. Levy and Pochettino have a very close relationship.

Meanwhile, Spurs are vying for a Champions League berth. They may or may not be able to finish in the top four this year. Losing Antonio Conte will be a major setback for the team. For the rest of the season, assistant head coach Ryan Mason will help interim manager Cristian Stellini.

Midway through the season is not the time for Pochettino to take over. Nevertheless, the Argentine probably won’t take over at Tottenham until the summer. Kane is attracting attention from Manchester United, therefore Spurs will want to keep him for at least another year. Losing the club’s top player would be disastrous for the next season.
