Tottenham is interested in signing Wolves defender Max Kilman in the summer

After Piero Hincapie renewed his contract with Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs informed Caught Offside that Tottenham is interested in signing Wolves defender Max Kilman in the summer.

Since making his Wolves debut under former Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo, Kilman (age 25) has been sensational. Under Julen Lopetegui, he has formed a fresh relationship with Craig Dawson and now has 91 games of senior experience for Wolves.

The defender, who was born in London, is a vital element of a Wolves team that has been rising in quality under their new management. His current deal with the Wolves runs until June of 2026. David Edwards, a former member of the Wolves, reportedly said that Kilman is “streets ahead” of Harry Maguire.

After Hincapie signed a new contract with Leverkusen, Jacobs claims that Tottenham has shown interest. Furthermore, he suggests that Kilman could be open to trade at the season’s conclusion. Kilman could feel at home in his hometown.

Max Kilman of Wolves is a player Spurs are interested in, so his transfer at the end of the season is something to keep an eye on. Jacobs said to Caught Offside of Kilman, “What Antonio Conte truly wants, in all positions, is more starter-signings.”

The addition of Kilman would not only be a fantastic addition, but a necessary one as well. In order to meet European registration requirements, Tottenham must urgently begin signing more domestic players. That’s in accordance with the regulations of the Champions League or Europa League.

The centre-back gives Spurs a player who, at 25, is still relatively inexperienced but improving with each game. The experience he has had makes him a great passer and dribbler, making him an excellent Eric Dier replacement or backup for Cristian Romero.

However, it’s possible that Spurs will have to offload a central defender or two before they can afford to add any more. Clement Lenglet is only on loan, therefore Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez are the backups. The roster spot for Joe Rodon has not been filled. Options must be chosen.
