Tottenham Hotspurs New Head Coach: Is Julian Nagelsmann replacing Antonio Conte?
Tottenham Hotspurs New Head Coach: To replace Antonio Conte, Tottenham Hotspur has set its sights on hiring Julian Nagelsmann.
The German manager, who is 35 years old, was fired from his position at Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Antonio Conte was fired as manager of Tottenham after an outburst after a 1-1 draw with Southampton. While many managers have been discussed as a possible fit for the North London club in recent weeks, it seems that Nagelsmann is the frontrunner for the job.
According to Football Insider, Spurs would do everything it takes to sign him after the season and are willing to wait till then to appoint him. The German manager reportedly does not want to switch jobs in the middle of the current campaign.
Tottenham Hotspurs New Head Coach: Spurs want Julian Nagelsmann
It remains to be seen whether or not interim manager Cristian Stellini can lead Tottenham to a Champions League finish in his debut season in command of the club’s first team. Spurs are now in fifth place, three points off of a Champions League qualification slot.
If they want to make the Champions League, they’ll need to put together a solid final stretch of the season and play better than they have recently.
However, Nagelsmann may be a valuable long-term investment for the London club. His concept of high-intensity offensive play might be an immediate success at the north London club, and it will surely help the many talented strikers Spurs already has.
Son Heung-Min and Richarlison are two examples of players who have underperformed this season but who may thrive in an offensive system next year.
