Tom Davies makes move to newly promoted PL club following Everton exit
Everton player Tom Davies has joined Sheffield United via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past several days. Davies who had been a part of Everton since the tender age of 11 has finally decided to leave the club after having turned down a new deal. The player’s move to the newly promoted Premier league side, Sheffield United has been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Tom Davies to join Everton on permanent deal from upcoming season
Several relevant sources related to the latest football transfers made it clear that Tom Davies has completed his move to Sheffield United. The newly promoted side has signed the player on a three year contract. The player rejected the option of a new deal with his former club and has joined Sheffield United on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with Everton.
Tom Davies who was born in 1998 kickstarted his senior career with Everton. The player was one of the club’s academy graduate and made his senior debut for the side in the 2015/16 season at the age of 17 during which season he could only make 2 appearances for the side.
He became a more or less regular part of the team from the next season onwards. He played a total of eight years for the club until 2022/23. He represented his team 179 times during this period and scored 7 goals.
Sheffield United who have got promoted to the Premier League this season have been in fairly good rhythm lately. The side did brilliantly well in the championship last season to achieve the second spot. The team finished second just below Burnley with 91 points in 46 matches thereby earning a spot in the upcoming season’s Premier League.
