Thibaut Courtois gives an update on his ACL injury
Belgian international – Thibaut Courtois has let his fans know about the current status of his injury. The goalkeeper suffered an ACL injury a couple months earlier during the training prior to the beginning of the current 2023/24 season. The player made it official that he’s taking quick strides on his way towards recovery. The player’s words with regard to his current situation made it clear that he’s slowly and steadily working on all his recovery processes.
Courtois is dying to get back on the pitch
The Real Madrid shotstopper is keen to make his way back into the pitch as soon as possible. His elaboration of the situation that he currently is in clearly explains his passion for the game. He said that he is quickly undergoing the recovery procedures so as to get back to his best sooner than ever. Courtois said,”My recovery is going very well, I don’t use crutches anymore”.”Now I walk and work… I hope to be back as soon as possible”.
Courtois who was born in 1992 began his senior career with Belgian club – Genk FC in 2008-09 season at the age of 17. He made a move to Atletico Madrid on loan in 2011/12. After having made over 150 appearances for the club in three years, he made a move to Premier League club – Chelsea in 2014. He played 154 matches for the club in total before joining Real Madrid in 2018. He has been a part of the club ever since and played 230 matches for Madrid so far.
Real Madrid have been in fairly good form lately. The team finished second in the league last season just below Barcelona. Carlo Ancelloti’s men also failed to defend their Champions’ league title last season after crashing out in the semi finals against Manchester City. The next major motto for the side will be to deliver better performances in the league and the UCL. The onus will be on the team’s star players to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
