The opportunity to recruit left-back Jordan Zemura, who was cut by Bournemouth, has resurfaced for West Ham United

The opportunity to recruit left-back Jordan Zemura, who was cut by Bournemouth, has resurfaced for West Ham United. At the conclusion of the season, the Hammers will likely be looking to add a new left-back to their roster.

Aaron Cresswell is growing older, and summer acquisition Emerson Palmieri hasn’t really established himself. West Ham would do well to get a promising young left back as they were considering doing last summer.

According to TalkSPORT, West Ham United has an interest in signing Jordan Zemura, a left defender for Bournemouth. West Ham considered acquiring Zemura, but instead signed Emerson.

It’s possible that West Ham is still interested in signing Zemura, and they may get a great deal done with him this summer. Zemura did not play for Bournemouth in their 1-0 victory against Liverpool on Saturday.

Lloyd Kelly began at left-back, and the 23-year-old wasn’t even on the bench. After starting against Arsenal last weekend and in 17 other Premier League games this season, Zemura’s absence seemed puzzling.

According to the Daily Echo, Zemura was released since the club and player had not yet begun contract negotiations. This summer, Zemura is free to leave Bournemouth, and he won’t be considered for a starting role until he signs a new contract.

Now, the possibility of the Zimbabwean star skipping the remainder of the season and departing this summer has increased significantly.

In spite of a “substantial” wage increase, Bournemouth has been unable to reach an agreement.

The West Ham Hammers should be towards the top of the list to recruit the London-born left defender this summer. Scott Parker has called Zemura “outstanding,” therefore he’s sure to have lots of Premier League bids this summer.
