Sardar Amoun makes a move to Serie A club following Bayer Leverkusen exit

Bayer Leverkusen player Sardar Amoun has made a move to the Serie A via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Leverkusen only a couple years ago is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Serie A club – Roma on loan. The player’s move to his new club in Italy has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Sardar Azmoun joins Roma on a loan deal

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Sardar Amoun’s loan move to Roma has almost been completed. The player shall be joining Roma on a loan deal, with the club having a €12m buy option clause not mandatory. The Iranian will arrive today and his medicals will be on Friday. Despite there being interests from Fulham for the player, Azmoun made it clear that he only wanted Roma.

Sardar Azmoun who was born in 1995 began his senior career with Rubin Kazan in the 2013/14 season at the age of 18. He was loaned out to Rostov in 2014/15 season wherein his move became permanent a couple years later.

He returned to Rubin Kazan in the 2017/18 season. After another two years at the club, he made a move to Zenit Saint Petersburg. The forward made over a 100 appearances during his four stay at the club scoring 62 goals. In 2021/22 he joined Bayer Leverkusen. The past two years at the club saw him play 44 matches during which he scored 5 goals.

Roma has been in fairly good form lately. The side finished sixth in the league last season. With 63 points to its name in 38 games throughout the season the side managed to cement its place in the upcoming season’s Europa League. The team’s major motto nowon will be to perform well in the ongoing league season and also deliver impactful performances in the Europa League. The onus will be on the club’s new signings to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
