Newcastle United Transfer News: Newcastle United want €38m rated Manchester United player

Newcastle United Transfer News: Newcastle United are reportedly considering a summer transfer for Scott McTominay, as reported by Fabrizio Romano of CaughtOffside. They’ve had their eye on the 26-year-old midfielder for some time. They will likely make a move for his signing during the next transfer window.

The winter transfer window was a missed opportunity for Newcastle to acquire McTominay from United. Newcastle, according to Romano, will prioritize acquiring a midfielder this summer and may make another go at the Scotland international.

McTominay has been a member of Manchester United since he was a young boy. The 26-year-old has worked his way up and is now a vital cog in their machine. Since joining the Red Devils’ first squad in 2017, he has played in more than 200 games.

During the most recent international break, the Scotland international was on fire. He played in both of his country’s UEFA Euro 2024 Qualification matches and tallied four goals.

The 26-year-old midfielder has played in 32 games so far this season. Yet he’s played for a little over 1300 minutes now. McTominay is unlikely to remain at Old Trafford through the summer because of his diminished role in the squad.

Yet Newcastle United is eager to add him to its roster. The Magpies have been outstanding so far this season. They have moved up to fifth place and are contending for a Champions League berth. In preparation for the forthcoming season, Eddie Howe’s squad has begun preseason work. And adding a midfielder to the roster is high on their list of objectives.

The Magpies are serious about acquiring Scott McTominay. Howe thinks the Manchester United midfielder would be a great addition to their team. With McTominay in the fold, the manager will have more choices to choose from in the middle of the field.

While signing the 26-year-old does not seem to be a major challenge, many other teams are interested in adding the Scotland national team player. If Newcastle can negotiate a deal for McTominay, it would be very fascinating.
